CAN SNACKING CAUSE ROSACEA???
Do you have a snack stash in the car or a 'treat' drawer at work?
If so, you might want to rethink that...even if they are 'healthy' snacks.
Like everything else in life, your gut needs a good clean, and it likes to do this every 3-4 hours in a 'flushing wave'.
BUT...if you are constantly snacking, the gut doesn't get an opportunity to do this.
The result...food and bacteria can remain in the upper gut longer, upsetting the balance of your gut bacteria and stressing your liver.
…as you hopefully know by now, it is these bacteria imbalances and liver stress that can contribute to Rosacea and diet triggers.
That's why, I mostly advocate 3 square meals per day, and that those meals are big enough to mean that you don't need to snack.
But, snacking can also be a HABIT. So, if you are trying to quit the snacking habit, then one trick is to simply make snack foods less visible by storing them in opaque containers.
