Worried that exercise is making your Rosacea WORSE?

Updated: May 3, 2023

EXERCISE RED-FACE & ROSACEA...

Many of the Rosaceans that I see in my clinic avoid exercise because it causes them to go red in the face.

But, today, I want to reassure you that exercise red-face, in most cases, is NOT making your Rosacea worse.

Here's how to think of it...

People WITHOUT Rosacea will get a little flushed in the face when exercising intensely.

This is because heat is generated by exercise and the body tries to dissipate the excess heat by expanding blood vessels on the surface of the skin.

If you have Rosacea and exercise, then the same process is happening, HOWEVER, your body has built more blood vessels in the face and so you go a lot redder.

Nothing abnormal is happening, it is simply the fact that the Rosacea process has increased the number and size of the blood vessels in your face, making your NORMAL reaction to exercise intensified.

So, you can stop worrying that exercise is making your Rosacea worse, because (in most cases) it isn't and regular exercise is actually a vital part of health, balance in the body, and ultimately HEALING Rosacea.

Here's when exercise CAN BE a problem...

When it is excessive and becomes part of the systemic inflammation driving the Rosacea process.

How do you know this?

There is a degree of intuition to it, so you should look for signs that exercise is causing excessive inflammation, these are:

* Picking up injuries

* Muscle soreness for days

* Aching joints and tendons

* Poor sleep quality

* Heart palpitations

* Digestive issues when exercising (especially true for runners)

So, what is ultimately the solution to exercise red-face?

Ultimately, you must identify and deal with the root cause of the inflammation that is driving Rosacea for YOU.

Once you have done this, the body will slowly reduce the number and size of the blood vessels in the face and your reactions to exercise will decline over time.

If you haven't yet figured out the root cause of your Rosacea, then don’t worry, I can help you.
